The winter  solstice occurs in the Northern Hemisphere in December.  Many interpretations of the event occur worldwide and differ from culture to culture.  The most common are Christmas and Hanukkah.  MOPEs Pink Elephants will demonstrate through different creative mediums the various celebrations of the winter solstice.
The show will feature artwork and writings while you dine at Oblivion Taproom.

Art, stories, beer, pool, darts, great food, learn cool shit... what more could you want!?

Holy crapaloids!! so much... so much...

So much has happened!!
The big news: MOPE is solo-owner, uno-owned, down to one queen on the thrown... I, Sam Myers is now the sole owner of MOPE!  Which entails much more craziness than ever expected!!

Things are definitely looking up through the craziness!  The website is ACTUALLY getting updated because instead of trying to hire someone, it's down to me making it.  So it'll be amazing and will hopefully work!

Next month MOPE is putting on an awesome winter solstice art show at Oblivion Taproom!  This should be super exciting.  All the Pink Elephants are creating pieces of various celebrations for the winter solstice (excluding Christmas and Hanukkah).  Other than art, we hope to have some awesome commercials to promote the show; an awesome winter solstice celebrations booklet from our writers; and overall an amazing winter solstice experience!!  I'm so freakin psyched!

So heads up for all the awesome changes!  woowoo

MOPEs amusement with Musings

An excellent and anticipated new addition to MOPEs merchandise is the new and ever growing series of MOPEs Musings.  Around 50 pages of doodles and collected written works from the most creative Pink Elephants ever!!

Some authors include:
Molly Gaudry, Kim Chinquee, Francesca Lia Block, Laura Sobbott Ross, Nicole Monaghan, Sarah Herrington, Darlin' Neal, Sam Myers, Trish Michecl, Moira Madden, Brian Gaskill, Allison Campbell, Allie Firman, Sara Linker, Andrew Henderson, Cecile Poulain, Cristina Ione, Mccabe Russell, Mika Jones, Ryan Haskings, Amanda Lager, Alex Mujica, J. Bradley, Jenn Karr, Chris Wiewiora, Bryce Emley and more and more and growing...

The work is amazing and there will now be some pieces read at the Full Frontal Lobes show friday!!
We also have a new position filled at MOPE:
Ashley Inguanta (pictured working on the book above) is now our head literary person aka: Parietal Lobe of MOPE Designs.  The parietal lobes of your brain basically take in from your sensories and put it into coordinated motions with your body.  Ashley will be taking all the sensories from writers and doodlers and putting them together  in a coordinated motion of a book for our reading and viewing pleasures...  i think her title fits quite nice!

Welcome to the ever growing mind of pink elephants; it's good to have a parietal lobe!

Like so much cool stuff...

The Pink Elephants have been slave laboring some stickers...  which are now packaged and ready to be sold OUT at the show next Friday!!
At least that's our hopes.  They're pretty badass as you can clearly see above but this snapshot doesn't even begin to explain the epic proportions of how ill these stickers really are.  So you just gonna have to buy one and find out for yourself!   Woohah!

Illest cashier art show box ever, in my humble but awesome opinion!!

Still working butts off, still having fun, still living large, still hoping to see a massive turnout for the Full Frontal Lobes show June 10th at the Cameo Theatre!!  (i hear a plug)

Can we string it up?

Trying to figure out how to hang art at the show.
First idea: chains... may look cool and even be totally possible but alas too pricey.
Second idea: rope...  looks less cool, still may work, but how does it work to build an actual wall?

ok basically the Cameo has great ordeal of space.  We want/need to make walls to not only break up the area but to supply more availability to display art.  So our delimma; we can hang stuff from the ceiling, and need to create a makeshift wall or way to display art in the dotted lined area above.

Any suggestions?

And so it begins...

Here we go. MOPE is full up and starting the creative process of kicking a$$!
